I received my B.A. in American History from Columbia College, Columbia University; my M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University; my M.Sc. in Sociology from the London School of Economics; and my Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University. I specialize in international business, political economy, and public policy.

My current research focuses on democratization and economic liberalization in emerging markets, the origins and consequences of international financial liberalization, the impact of trade on U.S. elections, globalization, and international political economy.
